Since joining Anytime Fitness® on August 18, 2008, Neil Medcalf has been coming in to workout 2 to 3 times a week right after his shift ends at the General Mills plant in New Albany, IN. Within 8 weeks, he has lost a total of 25 pounds! His secret is following exactly what was recommended: use the weight machines following the basic workout program that we provide all our members, and walk on the treadmill for 25-30 minutes. (Neil chooses the “Fat Burn” setting which helps him maintain a speed of about 3.8 mph.) Neil says it usually takes him around 45 minutes to complete his workout. While he admits nothing has changed with respect to his eating habits, he is proof that to simply “Move It” is very beneficial. “I never thought that by just increasing my movement/activity that I would net such results,” expressed this enthusiastic husband and father. Neil shared that he still has a goal of losing an additional 10 pounds. Once he accomplishes that, he plans to meet with Nicole Baker, CPT, in order to customize a program which will allow him to efficiently and effectively build muscle.
