How is the Senior Center funded?
We are entirely
funded through membership and program fees, fund raising events, and the
generosity of local businesses, foundations, and individuals.
How Can I Make a Donation?
Personal or Corporate Donations – If you have items or monetary contributions that you want to donate call the 812-256-0552 ,leave a message, and some one will return your call about your donation.
Memorial Gift or Tribute Gift - Charlestown Senior Citizen Inc. is extremely grateful for the benevolence of people who choose to leave a Bequest Gift to support the programs and activities of senior citizens as part of their memorial or tribute. Accordingly, we have created the ability for those wishing to make donations. Such Bequest Gifts are extraordinarily meaningful because they provide long-term support that strengthens the ability to meet future challenges. Upon receipt of the donation, the Charlestown Senior Citizens, Inc allocates the dollars to the purchase/acquisition of products for programs or designated purchase. An acknowledgement letter is prepared to be sent to the person or his/her family, for whom the Memorial Gift or Tribute Gift is directed. The name of the person(s) for whom the gift is directed is acknowledged in the Charlestown Senior Citizens Annual Report as well as Newsletter. The family and the individuals who made the contribution are sent a copy of the Annual Report and newsletter.
Estate Gift – Charlestown is a very caring place to live. Many people volunteer regularly and give generously to the nonprofit organizations of their choice. When they are gone, their support is sorely missed by leaving a gift in your will; you can continue to help organizations that are making an important difference in Charlestown.
