Animal Control

The City of Charlestown offers Animal Control services to handle animal-related services.

Responsibilities & Services

• Enforcing municipal codes and ordinances relating to animals
• Ensuring public safety
• Owners surrendering animals
• Rescuing stray and/or injured animals
• Reuniting lost pets with their owners
• Handling constituent concerns about animals

Animal Shelter

The Animal Control department transports lost/missing animals picked up by the City of Charlestown to the Jeffersonville Animal Shelter at 201 Willinger Lane, Jeffersonville, IN.
